ILUVUXDESIGN
Our friend Lyle Alzaldo visited the Addikt office for a coffee and we talked about his work as an UX designer. We found that he didn’t feel acknowledged and misunderstood as a designer. He felt the need to do something about this. After some more coffee Lyle came up with the idea to make an animation about his sad situation. Together we thought up this tribute to all the UX designers in the universe. To keep it light we asked Merijn Hos to do the illustrations because of his always disarming style. Addikt animated the whole thing and Soundware added the sound and voice.
B – blended wines
You know how it is. At home you pop open a bottle of vino to get in the mood. Then you go out for a bite to eat and after that you’re hitting the town to go see some friends visiting some bars in the process. Wouldn ‘t it be nice if you could rely on a basic wine with a constant quality. That’s what B is for. B wines are blended. Blends of different grapes to hit the sweet-spot. We are responsible for the brand-design and being just newly introduced we expect great things to happen. Check for B in your favorite hangout.
EBBA 2011
More more more, more EBBA’s. This is the third time we did the EBBA awards in Groningen. It’s the international award show part of the Noorderslag musicfestival. We again were responsible for the broadcast AND stage-graphics. This year we transplanted the breakthrough theme on some EU seeds and grew a mighty tree with some beautiful band-flowers. The show is being more and more recognized as a benchmark for new bands.
Nowness – Patron Saints
Our old pal Christiaan Bortstlap asked us to help him out to breath some life in his Illustrations. He was invited by uberblog Nowness to do a movie on the patron saints of this day and age. People who have singlehanded changed the world for us mortals to make it a better place. Or did they… well judge for your self by doing a clicky on the pic.
VakantieVeilingen
Holy hand grenade Batman, check out what you can buy for €1,- nowadays? Yes, even I have to admit you will get very greedy watching this site. More people should know about this! Good thing ad agency Etcetera asked us to create a commercial to spread the word. We developed this minimal style to reflect the easy going nature of VakantieVeilingen. Tracing all the character was not so easy going but it was well worth the trouble.
